Toy Appeal
Do you have toys that are clean, safe, in good condition and that you no longer use? As a result of tremendous growth in numbers in our Children’s Ministry, QUEST, we need more toys to help engage the young ones during their Sunday School classes. If you do have extra toys lying around that you’re willing to share like Kimani Gicheru did this past Sunday (see picture below), kindly bring the toys to church and drop them in our ‘Toy Donation’ boxes at the Hyperdome or at the Quest Dome, or you can drop them off at our offices at Paresia Centre, opp. Uchumi Hyper.

New Testament Characters Dress-up Competition
It has been 3 weeks and the excitement of going through the New Testament (N.T.) is quite evident at QUEST. We still
have another 6 exciting weeks to grow our understanding of the N.T. even deeper, BUT to top it all off, QUEST is planning a special service on Sunday 28th November, 2010. We’ll be celebrating the conclusion of our walk thru the N.T. in 77 steps by going back in time with our N.T. Dress-up competition. Children and teachers alike will have the opportunity pick any character from the N.T. and dress like they did. Prizes will be up for grabs for the most interesting and creative outfits, but also for those who remember all 77 steps of our walk thru the N.T. More details of this fun Sunday to come.
Kids Day of Prayer 2010
Every year Quest kids join other kids from over 30 churches across the city to pray for our communities, schools and Nation. Our kids have been a part of this child-driven prayer event for the last four years and we’re excited to participate in this year’s event, which will be held at All Saint’s Cathedral on Saturday 2nd October, 2010 from 8am. This event is free for all children.
Sign-ups are ongoing at the Quest tent every Sunday. For more information visit us at the Quest tent or email us on sarawangari@nairobichapel.org
Imani Graduation
NOTE: The imani graduation has been postponed from Sunday 3rd October to Sunday 10th October, 2010. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
If your child turns six (6) years between 1st June 2010, and 3rd October 2010, please sign them up for our Imani Class
Graduation, which will take place on Sunday 3rd October, 2010 (NOTE: Deadline for signing up is Sunday 19th September, 2010). The special graduation ceremony marked by song, dance, picture taking, and yummy cake, celebrates the transition of the children from the Imani Class (4-5 years) in NEST to the Sifa Class (6-7 years) in QUEST.
