Sunday 30th October, 2011

Itibari (2yrs) & Neema (3yrs) Classes

This Sunday the 2-3 year olds reviewed how we can be happy that Jesus cares. In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, the stranger’s compassion and kindness saved not only the injured man’s life but surely saved his faith in others as well.  (Luke 10:25-37).

Aim:

  • Children to understand what Jesus cares for them.
  • Children will know that it’s important to care for others.

Imani (4-5 yrs) Class

This Sunday the 4-5 year olds reviewed  how we can obey when God calls us. When Samuel heard someone calling in the night, he was sure it must be Eli, the priest. Eli had grown old, and his eyes were so weak that he was nearly blind. Samuel was young and strong-he was glad to help the man who’d cared for him most of his life. Samuel ran to Eli’s side to see how he could help but was puzzled when Eli realized that it was God who was calling Samuel. . (1 Samuel 3:1-21).

Aim:

That the children will:

  • Practice listening and following directions.
  • Ask God to help them obey him.

Psalm 107:1a – “Give thanks to the Lord”
